Our food shop proudly represents more than 50 local artisan producers of fine food and wine. Fresh meats and cheeses, bakery, fruit and vegetables, pickles, jams and chutneys, cakes, biscuits, chocolates and sweets are all abundantly represented. Our favourite products from suppliers further afield compliment the local fayre to help create what we believe to be a discerning and enjoyable shopping experience.
Our in-house butchery offers a full range of cuts of the best local meats. We are lucky enough to be able to source wild venison, rabbits and game off the Estate when in season from our Game Department. Our burgers are made on site and used by our kitchen team for the restaurant menu. At Christmas time, we offer Norfolk Bronze Free Range Turkeys which are from Elmwood Farm near Bury St Edmunds.
Throughout the year when in season, the Estate supplies potatoes and onions. We receive a daily delivery of the finest seasonal fruit and vegetables along with an array you would expect to find all year round.
Our in store deli has a fabulous selection of cheeses, cooked and cured meats and olives from some brilliant local suppliers. Suffolk Gold, Suffolk Blue, Mrs Temples, Norfolk White Lady and truckles to name a few of the local heroes. Also brie, camembert, cheddars and stilton from well known national and international producers of note. Compliment these cheeses with our great range of Elveden chutneys, all originally developed in our kitchens.
Wines & Spirits
We hold a selection of wines from all around the world from the Alsace Gerwurtraiminer to Ch Musar from the Lebannon. We also have some very impressive local wines, including the ever popular and highly recommended Giffords Hall range from Hartest, Suffolk. The Pinot Noir in particular holds its own against its equivalent from anywhere in the world as does it’s Sparkling Wine.
